North Shore Real Estate · Straight answer from Kathleen
What's it like living in Beverly?
Beverly is the North Shore town that gives you both worlds: a real walking downtown with the Cabot theater and coffee shops, and beaches, parks, and coastal neighborhoods a few minutes away, all on the commuter rail.

- Should I consider Beverly for its commute and downtown?
Beverly Depot is the junction of the Newburyport and Rockport lines, which makes it one of the easier Boston commutes on the coast. The town also has real variety in housing: downtown condos, classic neighborhood streets, and the oceanfront estates of Beverly Farms and Prides Crossing to the east.
Lynch Park, Dane Street Beach, and the harbor walks keep the town genuinely coastal, and the Fourth of July here draws the whole region. It is a town where the city and the coast meet, and both are walkable.
For buyers, the variety of housing stock is the draw. For sellers, the commuter demand keeps the market steady through the year.
On the North Shore
Beverly is where my own North Shore story started: I went to college here, at Endicott on the harbor, and chose to make the coast home. I know the Farms, the Crossing, and the downtown the way you know your own street. Read my full Beverly town note for the deeper walk-through.
