Selling Your Home · Straight answer from Kathleen

What should I do first if I'm thinking about selling my house?

The first step is a conversation, not a decision. Call or email me, tell me what is on your mind, and get a clear picture of what your home is worth and what the process would look like, with no obligation attached.

  • How far in advance should I contact a real estate agent before selling?

People are surprised by how early they should reach out. If you are thinking about selling in the next six to twelve months, that is the perfect time to talk. The more lead time we have, the more we can do with pricing strategy, any repairs or touch-ups, and timing around your move.

In that first conversation we will cover your timeline, your goals, what your home could bring, and what it would cost to get there. You will leave with facts, not pressure.

There is no wrong time to ask questions. The earlier you understand where you stand, the more options you actually have.

On the North Shore

North Shore buyers are often moving from Boston or from one coastal town to another, and the "right" selling window can depend on commuter demand and seasonal coastal buying. Knowing your town's rhythm early is a real advantage.
